MS Satoshi to open on January 3rd, 2021

While the MS Satoshi is currently on its long journey from the Mediterranean to its permanent anchorage in the Gulf of Panama we here at Viva Vivas are starting to take reservations for cabins on this amazing ship.

If you have ever been on a cruise ship that you considered too crowded or did not enjoy waiting in long lines for everything then this ship experience is for you. We fully expect a gradual start as this is a completely new living experience that will take time to grow and build on what is essentially a floating village aboard a 249 meter ship.

This will be a new experience for all of us so we must manage your expectations. The Satoshi will be more of a floating hotel than a cruise that you may be used to with free food and free everything. While week one will be a lot different from week 30 we fully expect it to be an adventure for anyone coming to join us on the Satoshi.

True to its name, the Crypto Cruise Ship, will be accepting cryptocurrency at all businesses. But not to worry if you only have government cash or legacy financial system credit cards, we will accommodate your ancient forms of money while giving you a peek into the future of commerce.

We will start the gradual process of opening restaurants on the ship as well as shops and entertainment. Not everything will be brand new as we are a five minute boat ride from Taboga Island which has been hosting tourists for decades and has everything you could want on your vacation from beach life, many restaurants, boat tours, snorkling, SCUBA diving, and much more.

Viva Vivas means “Live Life” in Spanish and that is exactly what we want for our guests. To live their lives to the fullest possible. We look forward to you joining us on this unique experience. Welcome aboard!

Viva Vivas purchases a residential cruise ship

Out of adversity comes opportunity, so they say, and a group of marine engineering entrepreneurs is taking advantage of the current downturn in the cruising industry to begin a new cruise ship business focused on residential living in calm seas.

The Crypto Cruise Ship is being prepared to set sail from the Mediterranean and anchor in much calmer waters outside of the hurricane zone. The 804 ft ship, recently purchased from a major cruise line, is to be named MS Satoshi. It includes 777 cabins with a capacity of 2020 people plus crew and crew quarters. Facilities include multiple restaurants, a theater, casino, gym and wellness areas. The ship will be used for residency, tourism, research, and office space. It will also provide an incubator environment for entrepreneurs.

Cabins will be sold in an upcoming auction to those interested in owning a permanent residence on the ship. Vacation rentals will also be available.

The cabins will be sold by Ocean Builders, the company currently building floating homes on the Caribbean coast of Panama. Ship operations will be run by a spinoff company, Viva Vivas.

Their goal is to create a floating community for the advancement of ocean technology, engineering, sustainable living, and experimentation.

The MS Satoshi will become an incubator for innovation and entrepreneurship. It will be a gathering place for digital nomads, cryptocurrency enthusiasts, expats, researchers, and entrepreneurs. As key investor Chad Elwartowski, COO of Ocean Builders, says, “We look forward to creating a hub for technology and innovation on our cruise ship. Our goal is to figure out how to live sustainably on the sea and chart new waters in this new frontier.”

Ocean Builders hopes that entrepreneurs will come aboard to run restaurants, events, fitness classes, and other businesses on the ship.

Residents will pay an ongoing fee for the upkeep of the ship and amenities, amount yet to be determined. Ocean Builders is able to assist residents with acquiring permanent residency in Panama if they are interested in living in the country full time.

200 cabins will be available in the first round of the auction, which begins November 5th and ends November 28th. Cabins are tentatively priced between $25,000-$50,000. The ship will be ready for residents to move in by early 2021.
